Anker Prime Charging Docking Station is a complete 14-in-1 desktop solution designed to reduce cable clutter while providing charging, high-speed data transfer, display output, networking and audio connectivity from a single dock. Its vertical design incorporates a GaN AC-DC power system, eliminating the need for a bulky external power brick.
Four dedicated charging connections provide up to 160W total output for laptops, phones and other devices. The USB-C upstream connection can deliver up to 100W to the connected laptop, while two dedicated USB-C charging ports support up to 100W output and the dedicated USB-A charging port supports up to 12W. Actual power distribution varies according to the connected devices and port combination.
For displays, the dock includes two HDMI 2.0 ports supporting up to 4K@60Hz. Display capabilities depend on the host computer and DisplayPort version. Anker specifically notes that macOS does not support MST, so when two external monitors are connected to a Mac, both external monitors display the same content rather than two independently extended desktops.
High-speed USB connections offer data transfer rates up to 10Gbps, complemented by 1Gbps Ethernet and a combined audio input/output jack. The integrated smart display provides real-time information including charging power, transfer speed, HDMI status and device alerts. Power allocation can also be customised using Anker Dock Manager.
Compatible with USB-C host computers running Windows 10/11, macOS 11 or later, and ChromeOS, including compatible MacBook, iMac, Dell and Lenovo devices. The host USB-C port must support the functions required for display output and charging.
